An opportunity is available for a skilled school psychologist to support a high school student population. This full-time, contract position runs through the end of the 2025-2026 school year, with an immediate start.
Located in Middletown, DE, the role requires a professional licensed in Delaware as a school psychologist. Experience working within school settings is strongly preferred, especially within high school environments. Bilingual capabilities are highly valued to support the districts evaluation team and diverse student needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for high school students
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to develop intervention plans
- Participate in eligibility meetings and provide expert recommendations to support student success
- Support a bilingual evaluation team, contributing to culturally responsive practices
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district policies and state regulations
Qualifications And Desired Experience
- Valid Delaware School Psychologist licensure
- Prior experience in school settings, preferably at the high school level
- Proficiency in bilingual assessment and support is a significant asset
- Strong knowledge of evaluation protocols, educational laws, and special education services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with school teams and families
This full-time role requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, through the school year, ending June 12, 2026. The position is a contract assignment designed to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes in a dynamic school environment.
