As a Salesforce Developer at Epicor, you will be responsible for building, enhancing, and troubleshooting custom Salesforce solutions that support a wide range of business operations. You will work through the full development cycle—from requirement gathering and schema design to coding, testing, and deployment—while partnering closely with stakeholders across the organization. Many of your projects will leverage Salesforce Billing, CPQ, and RightRev, giving you exposure to high‑impact financial processes.
What you will be doing
- Writing Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, schedulable classes, test classes, and automation scripts.
- Building UI components when needed using Flows, Visualforce, or Lightning Web Components.
- Working directly with end users and business partners to gather requirements, translate them into technical plans, and outline project timelines.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues involving Apex, flows, triggers, validation rules, metadata, and schema logic.
- Collaborating with Salesforce Admin, CPQ, Billing, and Business Operations teams to refine field definitions, improve data quality, and adjust system configurations.
- Choosing the appropriate platform tool—Apex, flow, formula, platform event—based on business needs.
- Refactoring and cleaning up legacy code to improve maintainability.
- Creating high‑quality technical documentation, basic wireframes, and architectural diagrams.
- Using custom metadata and settings to build flexible, scalable solutions.
- Writing test classes with strong coverage to ensure timely production deployments.
What you will likely bring
- 1–2 years of professional Apex development experience.
- Basic understanding of Salesforce admin capabilities (permissions, CRUD, users, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling, custom objects, and relationships.
- Experience using tools like SFDX, VS Code, GitHub, Postman, Jetstream, Data Loader, and the Dev Console.
- Familiarity with Lightning Web Components or willingness to grow UI skills.
- Ability to apply clean coding principles (DRY, separation of concerns).
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I and Administrator certifications preferred.
What could set you apart
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Billing, and RightRev.
- Any Visualforce or front‑end UI experience.
- Early experience with Lightning Web Components.
- Platform Developer II certification (exceptional signal for mid‑level roles).
