What You Get To Do
- Review and draft legal documents, including nondisclosures agreements (NDAs), contracts, articles of incorporation, briefs and legal memoranda
- Occasionally provide support with immigration matters
- Check and edit legal forms and documents for accuracy
- Identify relevant statutes, legal articles, codes and other pertinent material
- Perform legal and factual research of records
- Organize, cross-check, validate and analyze information
- Prepare written reports and correspondence
- Build and maintain databases and files
- Review of employment agreement job descriptions and severance agreements
- Review and approve change orders, purchase orders, and proposals
- Draft and review letters of intent (LOIs)
- Assist and provide support to Legal Team, General Counsel and various cross-functional departments as assigned
What You Have
- J.D. Degree from an accredited institution. A member in good standing of a state bar
- 1 to 3 years of direct experience:
- Construction and/or technology fields preferred
- Experience with immigration law a plus
- Experience drafting, reviewing, editing, and negotiating various agreements: commercial, technical, licensing.
- Thorough knowledge of legal principles, practices, research techniques, terminology, and communication principles and practices
- In depth knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations
- Relevant computer knowledge and experience, proficiency in MS Office, particularly redlining/editing in Word
- Strong communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Excellent critical thinking, time management, planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High degree of integrity and professionalism with strong work ethics and sense of ownership and accountability
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues, customers, and business associates
- Strong desire to learn, highly motivated, and willing to work on a wide variety of projects
Working Conditions and Environment:
- Occasional travel may be required (less than 2%)
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Have or ability to obtain a valid passport
- Physical requirements: Sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, listening, reaching at arm’s length, and lifting up to 25 pounds
