Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or a compact state
- At least 12 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications required
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and/or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certifications preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and multitasking skills
- Ability to perform effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within the Emergency Room, assessing and treating patients promptly
- Utilize clinical nursing skills to manage emergency situations, including trauma and acute illness
- Collaborate closely with physicians, staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient outcomes
- Document patient care and maintain accurate records according to established policies and standards
- Maintain compliance with safety and infection control regulations
