Licensure Requirements: Must have open, active, and in good standing
TX State Pharmacist License
Education: Pharm D
Years of Experience: 1 year of pharmacist experience preferred
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: $125,000-$132,000 DOE
Background/ Drug Requirements: Must be willing to submit to a background check, health and drug screen.
PharmacistJob Responsibilities:• Prepare and compound non-sterile medications according to physician prescriptions and established protocols
• Review prescription orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions
• Calculate and measure ingredients precisely to ensure proper dosing and formulation
• Maintain detailed compounding records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Ensure all compounded medications meet quality assurance standards and USP guidelines
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and storage requirements
• Maintain clean and organized compounding area following safety and sanitation protocols
• Monitor inventory levels of compounding supplies and ingredients
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop customized medication solutions
• Stay current with compounding techniques, regulations, and best practices through continuing education
• Train and supervise pharmacy technicians in non-sterile compounding procedures
• Conduct quality control checks on compounded preparations
