Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of high school students with disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure an inclusive and effective learning experience
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including progress reports and billing related to special education services
- Utilize specialized instructional strategies to address various learning abilities and behavioral challenges
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development and improvement
Qualifications
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably within a high school setting
- Knowledge of special education laws, guidelines, and billing procedures
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to fit diverse learning needs
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
