A nationally recognized compounding pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to oversee regulatory, compliance, and quality operations at its Ohio facility. This onsite leadership role offers long-term stability, strong growth potential, and high-level regulatory exposure. Relocation assistance is available, and a temp-to-perm traveler option may be considered for the right candidate.
Term of Assignment: Direct Hire (Temp-to-Perm option available for relocation candidates)
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Job Duties:
- Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge for Ohio and additional non-resident state licenses as required
- Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations
- Maintain pharmacist and facility licensure across multiple states
- Lead Board of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA inspections and represent the facility during regulatory meetings
- Develop, review, and maintain SOPs and training programs
- Oversee regulatory reporting, recalls, complaints, and quality-related investigations
- Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams
- Oversee QA/QC functions including batch record review, deviations, investigations, and environmental monitoring
- Manage validation activities including equipment, systems, and process validation
- Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Review and approve change controls, product labeling, and annual product reviews
- Oversee incoming materials, vendor qualification, and reserve sample programs
- Develop and manage environmental monitoring, trending, and root cause analysis
- Present quality metrics to site and corporate leadership
Requirements:
- Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
- Experience holding licensure in multiple states preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing teams
- Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA and DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding
- Proven ability to lead inspections and regulatory audits
- Strong communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
