Master Scheduler to join our Team!

The Master Scheduler is responsible to plan, schedule, and coordinate the flow of products through production processes to achieve financial and delivery performance goals. Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to maintain product forecasts. Develop production plans with insight into manufacturing processes and inventory goals. Create, communicate, and manage daily and weekly production schedules in partnership with Production teams. Communicate with the Customer Service team to support order fulfillment needs. Maintain the production plan and schedule process and associated ERP system data.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to maintain product forecasts.
- Use historical demand, sales performance data, and statistical methods to improve forecast accuracy.
- Create production plans by evaluating customer orders and sales forecast information with knowledge of production processes and capacity. Balance existing labor and machine capacity to maximize efficiency and production throughput.
- Develop planning parameters such as lead time and safety stock to establish a functional production model. Maintain this data in the ERP system.
- Establish inventory targets consistent with financial goals and develop production plans designed to align with these targets.
- Develop and implement daily and weekly production schedules.
- Manage schedule changes in partnership with the cross-functional Operations team.
- Partner with Production teams to achieve shared performance metrics.
- Develop and provide forecast, production plan, and schedule reports as needed to support business needs.
- Manage multiple, simultaneous production plans and schedules.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve forecasting, order management, and production systems.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, administration, or a relevant technical field.
- Experience of 3+ years in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products.
- Detailed ERP system knowledge and experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Occasional lifting of no more than 25 pounds.
- Office and manufacturing environment (manufacturing environment not temperature controlled).
- Regular use of hands and fingers to type on keyboard, operate computer mouse, use of telephone, and various office equipment.
- Extended periods of computer monitor usage.
- Extended period of sitting.
- Noise level – low to moderate.
Travel Requirements
- Moderate travel, approximately 10%, as required to perform job duties.
- Requirements include travel between Follett business locations and to attend meetings or training outside the company as requested.
