We are seeking experienced Pharmacists for a closed-door Mail Order facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is a 13+ week contract with intent for direct hire.
The client is hiring pharmacists with different focuses, including Staff Pharmacist (Day Shift), Clinical Pharmacist (Day Shift), and Staff Pharmacist (2nd Shift). This is a fast-paced environment focused on delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
Term of Assignment: 13+ weeks, Temp to Direct Hire
Schedule:
• Day Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
• 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 12:30pm – 9:00pm
• Possible Saturdays based on business needs
Job Duties:
• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently according to prescription orders
• Provide medication counseling and patient education on proper use, side effects, and drug interactions
• Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of therapy
• Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and therapeutic duplications
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and promote medication adherence
• Provide advanced pharmacotherapy services (Clinical Pharmacist focus) including therapeutic monitoring and evidence-based recommendations
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medication histories, allergies, and documented interventions
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
• Oversee proper storage, handling, and monitoring of medications
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and supply oversight
• Deliver strong customer service and resolve inquiries in a professional manner
• Stay current with pharmacy practice standards and continuing education requirements
Requirements:
• PharmD degree required
• Active Indiana Pharmacist license in good standing
• California Pharmacist license preferred OR willingness to reciprocate (client will assist with CA licensure costs)
• Minimum 1–3 years of retail pharmacy experience (Staff Pharmacist roles)
• Strong clinical knowledge and pharmacotherapy experience (Clinical Pharmacist role)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
