The primary focus of this role is to lead and support initiatives that advance the enterprise-wide transition and standardization of electronic medical records from a clinical nutrition perspective. The role will collaborate closely with clinical nutrition experts and interdisciplinary partners to design, implement, and sustain standardized documentation practices and workflows within the EMR system.
Success in this position requires a strong combination of clinical nutrition expertise and informatics proficiency to enhance patient care, promote consistency across sites, and ensure seamless integration of nutrition services into broader health information systems.
The ideal candidate will serve as a vital liaison between clinical teams and technical departments, ensuring alignment between nutrition operations and organizational health data strategies. Additionally, this role will work in partnership with the Clinical Nutrition Director to establish and refine standards for clinical nutrition operations.

Job Summary And Qualifications
What you will do in this role:
- Serves as the clinical nutrition service line expert in relation to EMR build and cutovers.
- Collaborate with clinical nutrition experts to define and implement documentation standards
- Responsible for maintaining and revising standard diet order data set
- Responsible for creating education materials in regards to diet orders and clinical nutrition documentation
- Collaborate with ITG partners in the testing of diet orders, supplements, and tube feeding products
- Responsible for the verification of standard builds
- Manage cutovers from a clinical nutrition perspective
- Collaborate with EMR teams and facility leaders to incorporate facility practices into standard documentation standards
- Leads reconciliation efforts with division and facility RDs on night of cutover
- Leads standardization of clinical nutrition operations with crossover in EMR and nutrition systems
- Responsible for maintaining standardized diet, supplement, and tube feeding orders in EMR
- Responsible for diet order, supplement, and tube feeding enhancements within EMR
- Collaborates with Division Clinical Team on diet order standardization
- Responsible for documentation standards with standard EMR
- Builds and maintains strong working relationships with a variety of leader stakeholders
- Utilize technology and innovation to provide better service to patients
What you need for this role:
- Bachelor's degree Nutrition is required. (Master’s degree preferred.)
- Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration is required.
- Licensed by the Department of Licensing and Regulation as appropriate per state is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in hospital clinical nutrition role is required.
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory leadership role is preferred.
- 1+ year(s) of experience with EMR integrations is preferred.
