As a Senior
Product Owner your key responsibility is working within a product management team to create powerful solutions to business problems within the TeamMate software. You are a member of a team focused on successful delivery of value-based product offerings. Day to day activities include writing user stories with detailed requirements, working with developers and quality assurance professionals to ensure requirements are understood, performing user acceptance testing (UAT) on stories, and demonstrating the value of the features being created to internal stakeholders and customers.
Additional ongoing activities include working with clients to uncover challenges in the auditor’s daily work, identifying gaps that present new opportunities for innovation, and clearly defining what can be done to make a better TeamMate solution overall for both existing and future clients.
Primary responsibilities:
- Acts as a Product Owner and leader on a scrum team using Agile software development methodologies. Work with scrum team (lead developers, quality assurance leads, and support) to ensure quality releases are delivered on time, participate in daily global stand-up meetings to discuss high-level issues with other project teams; prioritize cycle & sprint goals, work as Agile scrum master to assist in the resolution of global issues. Also responsible for user acceptance (UAT) testing.
- Breakdown requirements with development teams into estimable stories, create delivery plans based on estimates and team capacity
- Write user stories with direction from Product Managers. Working with Developers and QA to ensure the end-to-end feature set has been thoroughly analyzed and includes an appropriate level of detail.
- Lead planning work based on customer research findings and direction provided by User Experience experts and the design team to create mockups, understand impacted personas, and functional requirements for given features.
- Ensures system functionality meets design requirements by acting on behalf of the customer during sprint reviews; participating in redesigns if the functionality does not meet design requirements; presenting the design to internal stakeholders and customers during and after development.
- Contribute to organizational success by sharing subject matter expertise in a variety of ways: participate in functional and technical training sessions, author & maintain user documentation, videos, marketing briefs, system protocols, procedures and reference materials, and coach / mentor junior product management staff to develop skills.
- Assist in troubleshooting internal and external stakeholder issues, providing solutions and triaging defects with multiple development teams. Represents Wolters Kluwer by developing and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Wolters Kluwer TeamMate products, industry trends and general business and financial acumen through various sources and initiatives.
- Communicates in a professional, compelling, and articulate manner, writing and formal presentation; behaving in ways that demonstrate corporate core values and culture; developing professional and positive relationships with clients and colleagues; and maintaining a reputation of competence, integrity, and professionalism.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline; OR, if no degree, 4 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years writing IT business requirements through user stories or similar in a complex work environment.

Compensation:
$85,600.00 - $149,400.00 USD
This role is eligible for Bonus.
Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
