An established compounding pharmacy in Miami is seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to join on a part-time contract basis. This role is ideal for a pharmacist ready to lead in a dynamic startup environment with strong remote operational support and expanding leadership infrastructure.

Role Overview
The pharmacy specializes in GLP-1 medications, hormone replacement therapy primarily for females, and anticipates expanding into testosterone treatments. Operating with a small onsite team of about five staff members, the pharmacy has been compounding non-sterile formulations for a year and is preparing to launch sterile compounding services. The PIC will be instrumental in this expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the licensed Pharmacist-in-Charge, with your name on the pharmacy license (non-negotiable)
- Ensure full compliance with Florida Board of Pharmacy, state, and federal regulations
- Oversee and support the sterile compounding launch
- Review, update, and enforce policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Collaborate closely with pharmacy leadership and operational teams
- Provide pharmacist coverage during operational hours as needed
Qualifications And Desired Experience
- Active Florida Pharmacist License required
- Multi-state licensure strongly preferred (ideally FL plus 34 additional states among AK, IL, IA, KS, MI, NE, VA, TX, KY, WV)
- Prior experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge or Pharmacy Manager with demonstrated comfort holding full PIC responsibility
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and oversight
Preferred But Not Required
- Experience with pharmacy start-ups
- Compounding experience (sterile or non-sterile), or willingness to train
- Retail pharmacy background
