A full-time Sign Language Interpreter role is available to support a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) program spanning multiple K-12 schools in Hudsonville, MI. This contracted position will cover a full semester, with an anticipated immediate start and strong potential for contract renewal.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and clear sign language interpretation services for students, teachers, and staff within the DHH program across multiple school settings.
- Facilitate effective communication between hearing and deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals in classrooms and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with educational staff to ensure accessibility and support student learning needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of interpreting in educational environments.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development to enhance interpreting skills and knowledge of DHH educational strategies.
