Are you interested in harnessing technology and AI to transform healthcare?
At XiFin, we believe a healthier, more efficient healthcare system starts with strong financial and operational foundations. Our innovative technologies help diagnostic providers, laboratories, and healthcare systems manage complexity, drive better outcomes, and stay focused on what matters most: patient care.
We’re on a mission to simplify the business side of healthcare—and we know that mission takes people from all backgrounds and experiences. Whether you’re early in your career or bringing years of expertise, we welcome your perspective, your curiosity, and your passion. We value individuals who ask questions, challenge the status quo, and want to grow while making a real difference.
One of the ways we are achieving this is through our XiFin Internship Program. The Internship Program is designed to empower, educate, and inspire the next generation of talent by providing meaningful hands‑on experience, professional development, and direct exposure to the real impact of our work. Our mission is to create an environment where interns build the skills, confidence, and connections needed to excel in their careers—while contributing to projects that support XiFin’s mission of improving healthcare financial performance.
This is a 10-week structured program beginning on June 15, 2026, and ending August 21, 2026. This will be part-time (up to 29 hours/week).
About the role:
The Agentic AI Engineer Intern will support the design, development, and evaluation of goal driven AI agents that automate multi step workflows across XiFin’s healthcare revenue cycle operations. Unlike traditional machine learning roles focused primarily on prediction, this internship centers on building AI systems that can plan, reason, take actions, use tools, and drive measurable business outcomes through autonomous task execution.
In this role, the intern will gain hands on experience with large language model (LLM) orchestration, workflow automation, agent frameworks, and evaluation methodologies. Projects may include designing decision making agents, integrating LLMs with APIs and internal tools, building reusable agent workflows, and contributing to enterprise grade AI guardrails that ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.
This internship is ideal for a curious and innovative problem solver who is excited about next generation AI systems and eager to contribute to real enterprise use cases in a fast evolving technical environment.
What does the position pay?
The hourly compensation for this role is $25.00 for graduate students.
