A full-time, onsite speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available at a K-12 school located in Gretna, LA, with a focus on serving elementary students on the west bank. This contract covers the current school year, running from ASAP through May 22, 2026. The role requires a commitment of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, aligned with the school calendar. Each day includes 7 working hours plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students in grades K-12, with an emphasis on elementary-aged children.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and procedures.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student evaluations.
Qualifications And Experience
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Experience working with school-age children in educational settings.
- Ability to complete district-required drug screening and fingerprinting.
