A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year, providing services across multiple educational settings in the Baltimore, MD area. Assignments include itinerant preschool support, elementary school caseloads, and middle school coveragewith options for both full-time and part-time schedules.
Key Assignments and Locations:
- Community Preschool: Itinerant services for preschool-aged students, 5 days per week, requiring travel between community preschool sites.
- Elementary Schools: Coverage at Magnolia Elementary (3 days per week) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days per week) serving PreK through 5th-grade students.
- Middle School: Aberdeen Middle School serving grades 6 through 8, including supervision of an SLP Assistant (SLPA) supporting services.
Schedules Available
- Full-time (37.5 hours/week), Monday through Friday at preschool and elementary settings.
- Part-time (30 hours/week), Monday through Thursday (with potential for 5-day coverage) at the middle school setting.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Active Maryland professional licensure with a current Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Compliance with Maryland House Bill 486, including background checks and employment history verification.
- Experience with K-12 student populations preferred, including preschool through middle school.
- Ability to provide supervision to SLP Assistants is required for middle school coverage.
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility for itinerant service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy services.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals.
- Ensure compliance with all district and state regulations, including thorough documentation and progress reporting.
- Supervise and mentor support personnel where applicable.
This contract-based role offers the opportunity to contribute positively to diverse student populations throughout the academic year, with possible extension into Extended School Year (ESY) services during July 2026.
