A Special Education Teacher is needed for a leave replacement role at an elementary school in Eden Prairie, MN. This position supports a resource program class with approximately 12 students ranging from 2nd to 5th grade. The assignment runs from March 9 to June 5, 2026, excluding spring break (March 16-20), and requires onsite presence.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with mild to moderate special education needs.
- Manage a caseload of about 12 students across grades 2, 3, and 5.
- Collaborate with staff and families to implement educational plans.
- Maintain detailed records and progress reports.
- Follow established program guidelines and schedules.
- Support students in developing academic and behavioral skills.
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota teaching credential in Special Education with any one of the following endorsements:
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Developmental Disabilities
- Early Childhood
- Emotional Behavioral Disorders
- Learning Disabilities
- Academic & Behavioral Strategist license is optional but considered a plus.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively onsite from 8:10 AM to 4:10 PM, Monday through Friday.
