Location: EAS Easton, MD. Eurofins Agroscience Services is seeking a candidate to fill a position of Scientist to work with our Environmental Fate Department.
Job Description
Scientist responsibilities include:
- Conducts studies to assess persistence and behavior of chemicals in the environment including biodegradation of organic chemicals, bioaccumulation in fish, hydrolysis phototransformation and partitioning in soils and sediments. Experience to perform metabolite identification.
- Designs and supervises experiments in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Serves as an expert for technical issues for staff and customers.
- Performs data evaluations, reviews the work of others, and writes technical reports.
- May serve as a primary business contact for clients.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess:
- Knowledge of Environmental fate and chemistry.
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree plus at least of eight years’ experience in the environmental fate field, M.S. with a minimum of five years’ experience or PhD in a relevant field.
- GLP study director or project management experience preferred.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Additional Information
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with overtime required as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Hercules, CA are encouraged to apply.
