The Pricing Specialist supports daily pricing operations by maintaining accurate pricing data, performing margin and data analysis, and assisting with pricing updates to support the overall pricing strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced proficiency in Excel required.
- Experience with pricing analysis, data management or analytical roles is a plus.
- Experience working with ERP and Pricing Systems.
- Strong analytical abilities with proven skills in interpreting and manipulating large data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Comfortable working both independently under strict deadlines and collaboratively within a team.
- High level of accuracy and consistency in all work.
- Knowledge of Health Care Industry is a plus.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak pricing seasons (March and September)
Summary
- Accurately enter, update and maintain pricing data within internal systems and spreadsheets.
- Extract, organize and analyze large data sets related to pricing, costs, sales utilizing Phocas, P21 and Excel.
- Conduct regular data audits in Excel to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Build and maintain internal and external pricing files and documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with pricing strategies and contract requirements.
- Assist with general market research and competitive pricing analysis.
- Document and track updates and work within internal systems.
- Assist with large-scale pricing updates in P21, including testing, auditing, and validating price changes.
- Monitor monthly P21 pricing activity and help prepare routine pricing performance reports.
- Use Excel to organize, analyze, and present pricing data clearly and effectively.
- Break down large data sets into clear, usable, smaller data sets for internal review and approvals.
- Manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail and meet strict deadlines.
- Collaborate cross functionally with other internal teams.
- Provide support to the Pricing Process Manager across pricing projects, reviews and ongoing initiatives.
- Assist with product pricing updates that occur twice a year.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
