We are seeking an experienced IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician for a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity in Panama City, Florida. This role is based within an infusion center environment, working in a clean room alongside patients receiving treatment. Candidates with chemo compounding experience are highly preferred.
Schedule:
- First shift, full-time
- Monday–Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 12:00pm
Term of Assignment:
13-week contract with potential for permanent hire
Job Duties:
- Prepare and compound sterile IV medications under pharmacist supervision
- Ensure accurate dosing, proper authorization, insurance approval, and regulatory compliance
- Verify medication orders, patient information, and drug integrity
- Maintain logs including temperatures, lot numbers, and controlled substance documentation
- Clean and maintain IV hoods and clean room areas per OSHA and department standards
- Properly dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Manage inventory, receiving, shelving, labeling, billing, and data entry
- Maintain MSDS sheets and drug information files
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
3–5 years of recent pharmacy experience with IV compounding skills
IV Certification preferred
Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician license required
National certification (PTCB) preferred
Chemo compounding experience strongly preferred
