A certified School Psychologist is needed to provide specialized psychological services for students across grade levels K-12 in a school setting located in Auburn, NY. This contract position offers weekly pay along with comprehensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to develop and implement intervention strategies.
- Provide counseling and support services to students experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expert recommendations.
- Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Promote a positive school environment through consultation and professional development.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12.
- Strong understanding of child development, learning disabilities, and behavioral issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Skilled in conducting evaluations using diverse assessment tools.
