Overview Under the direct supervision of the of Pharmacy technician manager, fills routine orders for inpatients, delivers routine and stat medications in a timely manner. Works in a variety of settings depending on the needs of the department. Completion of PTCB certification and sterile compounding online certification required for transfer to Tech II.
Responsibilities - Accurately fill medication orders for patients
- Restocking of automated dispensing cabinets
- Expiration audits and sign off of hospital areas as assigned
- Inventory management of stock
- Computer knowledge of systems assigned for position
- Pharmacy environment cleanliness
Qualifications - 1 year hospital experience preferred or other relevant experience as a medical technician
- H.S. diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with no more than 3 moving violations
