Job Summary
The Project Manager plays a critical role in leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives that support McKesson’s Master Data and enterprise programs. This role requires a seasoned, structured, and proactive project leader who excels at alignment, communication, and driving outcomes in highly regulated environments. You will partner with business teams, IT, and senior leadership to deliver high‑impact projects that serve as foundational components for multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full lifecycle project management for complex, enterprise‑level initiatives.
- Establish project scope, objectives, timelines, and success criteria in partnership with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, resource allocations, financial tracking, and milestone reporting.
- Facilitate collaboration across business, master data, and IT teams, ensuring alignment and clarity.
- Identify risks early, build mitigation plans, and drive issue resolution.
- Deliver clear, concise, executive‑ready status updates and communications.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory, quality, and internal project governance standards.
- Conduct post‑implementation reviews and support continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project‑related inquiries, escalations, and stakeholder communication.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- PMP certification (required).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive project management experience leading large, complex projects.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or finance.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Smartsheet experience (strong advantage).
- Jira exposure (nice‑to‑have).
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
- Strong executive presence and ability to translate complexity into clear deliverables.
- Proven ability to work with senior leadership and diverse teams across the organization.
Work Environment
This role operates in a
hybrid model, typically requiring
one day per week in-office, with flexibility to shift to two days per week based on business needs. Candidates should be comfortable collaborating with both on‑site and remote teams.
