This is an onsite, full-time Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Lab Technician 1 position supporting the Lebanon, NJ, location.
SUMMARYAssist laboratory personnel with the performance of various laboratory functions as directed by Laboratory Management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensure that all glassware(s) are properly washed and stored in the assigned locations.
- Perform routine laboratory support tasks that enable laboratory personnel to effectively and efficiently meet the laboratories testing demand. Job duties include, but are not limited to, preparing sample/standard solutions, weighing of materials, management of reference standard and chemical inventories, sample disposal, and basic chemistry tests.
- Performs weekly laboratory maintenance as directed by the laboratory management.
- Adherence to quality and safety programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
- Promotes and supports the overall mission of Pace Analytical by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation and ExperienceHigh School diploma is required. Associate’s degree in chemistry or related field is preferred and prior work experience (minimum of 1 year) in a testing laboratory setting is ideal.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Microsoft office knowledge is preferred.
- This position requires good verbal/written communication skills.
- The ability to work within the defined GMP quality system is a must.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a lab, warehouse and office setting. Work is subject chemicals, fumes, gasses, noxious odors and related items in a lab and samples setting.
