A contract opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support student development and well-being within a Boston-based educational setting. This role focuses on applying psychological principles to assess and address the academic, social, and emotional needs of students.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify student needs and strengths
- Collaborate with educators, families, and administration to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to support student mental health
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to promote effective communication and student advocacy
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with relevant educational regulations and policies
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience in conducting assessments and providing counseling in school settings
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and psychological testing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
