A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to cover a maternity leave from February through June 20th in a K-12 school setting located in Maple Valley, WA. This contract role provides an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Fellow (CF) or a licensed SLP looking to gain valuable experience working directly with pediatric populations in an on-site environment.
Responsibilities Include
- Conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with school and district guidelines
- Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary team efforts
Desired Qualifications And Experience
- Enrollment in or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) program is accepted
- Pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology experience preferred
- Ability to work on-site, ensuring consistent direct student interaction
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation
- Valid certification and state licensure or eligibility to practice as an SLP
