A contract position is available for a Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth and teletherapy services at an elementary school in Rhinelander, WI. This role focuses primarily on providing 1:1 interpreting support for kindergarten students during the school year.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Delivering effective communication support to kindergarten students using sign language interpreting techniques.
- Providing teletherapy and telehealth interpreting as required to facilitate remote learning and services.
- Collaborating with educators and service providers to ensure clear and accessible communication for students with hearing impairments.
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Desired Qualifications And Experience
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with experience interpreting in educational settings.
- Familiarity with telehealth and teletherapy platforms and services.
- Prior experience providing 1:1 interpreting services for young children, particularly in kindergarten.
