The Assistant Controller position reports to the Controller and oversees all financial, accounting and people management activities in the areas of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing and financial reporting for multiple entities.

The Company is subject to certain federal regulations and directives regarding a drug free workplace. Marijuana is one of the substances included in the drug panel screening. Work Schedule: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Position Requirements...
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- Accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or CA) completed or in-process.
- Minimum 5 years general ledger or corporate accounting experience
- NetSuite or comparable ERP system experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work closely with a senior management team
Essential Functions...
- Manage accounting close process, General Ledger reconciliations, and manage financial reporting requirements
- Hands on leadership of purchasing, payables, receivable or other accounting function as assigned
- Partner with operational leadership to enhance internal controls
- Compile and analyze financial reporting packages
- Assist with forecasting and annual operating budgets
- Contribute to staff development
- Communicate financial metrics of assigned entities to senior management
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands: This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
