A nursing opportunity is available for a registered nurse skilled in emergency care, offering a chance to provide critical care in an active emergency department. This role is contract-based, working primarily night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a weekend rotation averaging six shifts over six weeks, ensuring a balanced schedule for work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage care for patients presenting with diverse emergency conditions including chest pain, strokes, diabetes, trauma, and mental health emergencies
- Administer medication drips such as Heparin, Insulin, and Dopamine, along with narcotics and vasopressors
- Perform nursing duties including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, IV and PICC line management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists, all available around the clock
- Participate in charge nurse duties and unit secretary functions as needed
- Utilize EMR systems such as EPIC and technologies including vital signs monitors and rapid infusion devices
- Adhere to orientation procedures and integrate with established unit culture
Qualifications And Desired Experience
- Current active RN license in Georgia
- Minimum of two years experience in emergency nursing preferred, though first-time travelers will be considered
- Certifications required: BLS, BCR, ACLS, and PALS; TNCC and emergency nursing certification preferred but not mandatory
- Proficiency with emergency medical technologies and medication drip management
Schedule And Expectations
- 12-hour night shifts (7 PM to 7 AM), with weekend and holiday rotations including mandatory shifts on Christmas Eve/Day and New Years Eve/Day
- No on-call or floating outside the emergency department
