Responsibilities
Purpose: The production department is at the heart of our operations here in Sioux Falls, SD. The Team Lead is a pivotal role within the department and is held responsible for overseeing the actions and output of their shift personnel. To achieve consistently strong results, your tasks will include providing direction and motivation, ensuring that all work is carried out effectively and efficiently, and monitoring the overall safety and environmental impact for your shift.
Responsibilities:
- Follow and support all Company safety, GMP and HACCP policies
- Directly manage up to 6 Section Leads and indirectly manage 35+ production workers
- Monitor and direct all aspects of the production process
- Deliver performance appraisals and disciplinary interventions/rewards
- Maintain high quality standards and communicate all serious deficiencies
- Maintain employee attendance, performance and training records
- Complete daily reports
- Conduct interviews and employee meetings
- Train and mentor Section Leads
- Fill in for the shift manager and work overtime as needed
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Education- knowledge normally acquired through the completion of a High School diploma or GED is preferred
- Three years’ experience in production department
- Have a working knowledge of JDE/webEFF
- Trained in QMS Root Cause/Corrective Action
- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the Company
- Ability to project a positive image of the Company
