Job Specifics and Requirements:
Area: Central Valley, CA
Licensure Requirements: Must have open, active, and in good standing CA State Pharmacist License
Education: Pharm. D.
Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience in a hospital setting
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: $75.00 - $108.00 DOE
Background/ Drug Requirements: Must be willing to submit to a background check, health and drug screen.
Job Responsibilities:
• Monitor and evaluate medication safety practices across pharmacy operations to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Conduct comprehensive compliance audits and assessments to maintain adherence to federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety protocols and standard operating procedures for medication handling and dispensing
• Investigate medication errors and adverse events, performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous quality improvement
• Provide education and training to pharmacy staff on compliance requirements, safety standards, and best practices
• Review and update pharmacy policies to reflect current regulatory changes and industry standards
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for regulatory agencies and accreditation bodies
• Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and regulatory inspections
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication use evaluation programs
• Stay current with evolving pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety guidelines
