We are seeking a hands-on Performance Engineer to work within the AssureCare Quality Assurance department with a team of technical software performance professionals. You will work with your team to ensure our software meets or exceeds customer load and performance Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
The Performance Engineer has 2-4 years of hands-on performance testing experience using a variety of test platforms and is well-versed in performance test development and analysis. In addition to the requisite experience in performance testing and analysis, the Performance Engineer has a background in quality assurance and/or business analysis.
Salary Range: $76,364 - $104,000
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with senior performance engineers and follow instructions thoroughly.
- Design, develop, and execute performance tests.
- Analyze performance test results to identify script errors.
- Monitor applications under test and report on results
- Track performance metrics against customer SLAs
- Work with senior and lead performance team members to continuously monitor and improve system performance.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics or equivalent technical experience at an enterprise
- At least 3 years of experience with one or more performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, StresStimulus, JMeter or Neoload.
- The ability to keep an open mind regarding technology platforms, and a willingness to learn and change as business needs evolve.
- Ability to write basic SQL queries for data extraction and verification
- The ability to communicate clearly within the team.
- The ability to self-manage and keep tasks on track in an environment where interruptions are frequent and expected
- Prefer experience coding in languages such as C#, Java, Python, and JavaScript
- Prefer familiarity with version control systems, and working in a collaborative environment
Prefer familiarity with Agile, traditional development methodologies, continuous integration and deployment on a conceptual level
