A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a dynamic elementary school setting located in Richmond, TX. This contract position offers the chance to deliver essential speech therapy services to students, either in person or virtually, supporting their communication development and educational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments as part of the Speech Therapy Assessment Team (STAT)
- Provide direct therapy services to students, supporting individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during referral and IEP meetings
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports aligned with educational standards
- Participate actively in team meetings and maintain compliance with school policies and procedures
Qualifications And Experience
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license (required)
- School-based SLP experience is mandatory
- Successful completion of virtual school-based SLP assignments or VOCO (Virtual Outreach Candidate Option) program is preferred; however, SLP Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are not eligible
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
- Comfortable commuting to Richmond, TX or able to provide virtual services as needed
- Ability to complete required background checks promptly
Location and Duration:
- Position based at an elementary school in Richmond, TX within the East/Southeast Houston metropolitan area
- Contract assignment through June 4, 2026
- Full-time commitment of 37.5 hours per week; no part-time options available
