An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Director to oversee operations at a 70-bed long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital. This contract position offers the chance to step into a leadership role immediately, managing pharmacy services and acting as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) on-site.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational oversight of the pharmacy department.
- Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize medication management.
- Utilize RX Connect pharmacy IT systems for efficient workflow and documentation.
- Lead and mentor pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of safety and quality.
Qualifications
- Active California pharmacist license is required.
- Proven experience as a Director of Pharmacy within California healthcare settings.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on regulatory compliance and patient safety.
- Familiarity with RX Connect and hospital pharmacy operations preferred.
Location:
- This role is based in El Cajon, CA, within the San Diego metropolitan area.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, day-shift hours.
This contract is for 13 weeks with the potential to transition to a permanent role. Travel expenses including hotel, car rental, and flights will be covered or reimbursed at cost.
