Job Overview
We’re growing our pressroom team and are looking for
UV Press Operator Trainees and
Experienced UV Press Operators. Whether you’re eager to learn a skilled trade or ready to step in with hands-on experience, this role offers the opportunity to work with advanced UV printing technology in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Placement and responsibilities will be based on experience, with training provided for trainees.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities Vary Based On Experience Level
- Set up and operate UV printing presses
- Read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and print specifications
- Perform press make-readies and maintain run-speed standards
- Change plates, blankets, and cylinders as needed
- Monitor print quality, including ink coverage, density, registration, and color accuracy
- Match color proofs and customer samples
- Minimize waste and downtime by monitoring production performance
- Perform routine cleaning, wash-ups, and basic maintenance
- Accurately record press time, materials, and production data
- Troubleshoot press issues and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and standard operating procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Trainees: Mechanical aptitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn
- Experienced Operators: Prior experience operating UV or offset printing presses
- Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced production environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including future 12-hour shifts
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move throughout the production floor
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs using proper safety techniques
