Position Summary:
The Program Manager, Regulatory & Compliance provides strategic leadership and comprehensive oversight of the organization’s regulatory compliance program across assigned operational areas, with a primary focus on DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, FDA, EPA, DOT, HIPAA, OSHA, and physical security requirements. This role directs the execution of compliance activities through guidance and indirect leadership of a distributed team. Travel may be required to deliver onsite training, support facility operations, conduct internal reviews, and present audit results to stakeholders. In this role, the Program Manager designs, recommends, and implements corporate regulatory policies and procedures to ensure full adherence to federal and state requirements. As the central point of accountability for regulatory compliance, this leader partners closely with program and operations teams to drive consistent execution, reduce organizational risk, and foster a strong culture of compliance. Key responsibilities include providing subject-matter expertise and consultative support, leading education and training initiatives, and directing comprehensive audits and monitoring activities to ensure facilities operate efficiently while maintaining minimal compliance risk. The Program Manager also serves as a critical liaison among facility personnel, client services, and regulatory agencies—facilitating effective communication, ensuring timely issue resolution, and maintaining alignment across all stakeholders. This role is essential to sustaining organizational compliance readiness and advancing operational excellence at scale.
Primary Accountabilities:
Leadership (40%)
● Provide overarching regulatory compliance direction for Inmar’s Grand Lakes returns facility and Inmar-managed waste programs.
● Serve as the primary resource for facility managers, including developing and facilitating training and maintaining regulatory compliance policies and procedures
● Establish and implement strategies, policies, and procedures that enable operations personnel to evaluate and mitigate regulatory risk.
● Develop, manage, and monitor regulatory initiatives and projects.
● Support internal customers by addressing regulatory inquiries and providing accurate, timely information.
● Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to advise clients on regulatory issues related to products.
● Demonstrate strong meeting facilitation skills by setting clear agendas and driving alignment on next steps.
Influence (40%)
● Collaborate with distribution facility leadership to develop, recommend, and implement strategies, policies, and training that reduces regulatory risk.
● Create data-driven compliance narratives tailored to specific clients and incorporate compliance insights into client business reviews.
● Own and manage relationships between facility personnel.
● Deliver regulatory training to internal stakeholders.
● Build high-impact presentations that include compelling visualizations and clearly articulated compliance insights.
Operational (20%)
● Conduct reviews and collaborate with operations teams to address identified compliance gaps.
● Provide oversight and guidance regarding operational regulatory reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Healthcare, Criminal Justice, Regulatory Affairs, or related field required
● Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities.
● 4-6 Years work experience and/or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position
● Travel time 10-25%
Preferred Qualifications:
● Certifications - PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) considered a plus
