Meet The Team
Join our dynamic R&D Engineering Test Team, where innovation meets dedication. As a Test Engineer 1, you'll play a pivotal role in the test development of our next-generation Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) systems. Our team is passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology to improve lives, thriving on collaboration and creativity. In this role, you will be responsible for executing various tests, documenting results, and supporting various testing activities. You'll collaborate with other engineers to ensure accurate and consistent testing throughout all phases of product development. You will develop your expertise with the latest industry standards and best engineering practices while participating in the design and automation of scalable test methods enabling our team to match Dexcom’s growth rate.
Where You Come In
- You will drive the execution of test activities across all phases of product development.
- You will collect and document test results using good documentation practices and assist in failure analysis to support root-cause investigations.
- You will conduct feasibility testing, developmental testing, characterization testing, material testing, and design verification testing and support all engineering requests from the R&D teams.
- You will operate various test equipment, including vernier scales, microscopes, tensile testing machines, multimeters, oscilloscopes, temperature probes, data acquisition systems, drop testing equipment, mechanical shock and vibration equipment, environmental chambers, hardness testers, and fatigue testing machines.
- You will support the development of test procedures, equipment/fixture builders, and any documentation that supports testing.
- You will support fixture or equipment development for product testing. Activities include designing and testing equipment or fixtures, processes, and completing engineering studies and validations.
- You will assist in lab management, including equipment troubleshooting, safety protocol enforcement, documentation, lab organization, and audit preparation to ensure compliance and efficiency.
What Makes You Successful
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- 0 - 2 years of experience
- Experience with fixture/tool/equipment design using CAD (Solidworks or OnShape preferred).
- Experience with Measurement System Analysis statistical techniques and DOE (ex. Gauge R&R, t-test, ANOVA, Capability Analysis)
- Proficiency in at least one script or high-level programming language is required (ex. python, MATLAB, C, VBA)
- Experience with statistical analysis and data interpretation.
- You are proficient in using various electromechanical test equipment and measurement systems.
- You have excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- You are detail-oriented and organized, with strong time management and prioritization skills.
- You have a good sense of how equipment works and how to troubleshoot, which is crucial for this position.
- Ability to run self-directed projects, manage timelines, and execute projects collaboratively.
- Demonstrated a history of strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective technical writing skills, including writing protocols, designing of experiments (DOEs), and other technical reports and documents.
- You collaborate effectively with team members and engineers across various R&D teams to ensure seamless integration in supporting projects and executing tests.
- Your familiarity with CGM technology is a plus.

Travel Required
Experience And Education Requirements
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 0-2 years related experience.

Salary
$65,000.00 - $108,300.00
