Job Specifics and Requirements:
Area: Mobile, AL
Licensure Requirements: Must have open, active, and in good standing Alabama Pharmacy Technician License
Education: H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
Experience Needed: 1+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: $20.00+
Background/ Drug Requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check, health and drug screen
Job Responsibilities:
• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications to patients
• Receive and verify prescription orders for accuracy and completeness
• Count, measure, and compound medications according to established protocols
• Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor medication stock levels
• Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues
• Label medication containers with appropriate dosage instructions and warnings
• Organize and maintain pharmacy work areas in a clean and orderly manner
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
• Enter patient and prescription information into computer systems accurately
• Retrieve medication from inventory and prepare it for final pharmacist verification
• Package and price prescriptions according to pharmacy guidelines
• Assist with managing expired medications and product recalls
• Provide excellent customer service and answer basic patient questions
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations
