Job Description BJC HealthCare and Saint Luke's Health System are seeking a Pharmacy Intern to join our team in Kansas City, MO.
Shift: Part-time, Evenings
Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the Pharmacy Intern performs essential duties related to compounding, dispensing, and delivering medications. This role is designed to provide hands-on clinical experience in preparation for future licensure as a Pharmacist, ensuring all activities comply with State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the accurate compounding and dispensing of patient medications.
- Manage medication charging and delivery processes.
- Perform pharmacy tasks under continuous pharmacist validation to ensure patient safety.
- Gain practical pharmaceutical experience while adhering to state and federal legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Must possess a valid Pharmacy Intern license.
- Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy or a Pharmacy Early Assurance program.
- Alternative: Applicants with a Pharmacy Technician license who are eligible for an intern license will also be considered.
