As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting and overseeing daily transportation and facility operations to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient processing of regulated medical waste. You will assist in leading and developing team members, coordinating routing and warehouse activities, maintaining fleet and equipment readiness, and supporting customer service excellence. You will collaborate closely with Dispatch, Sales, Hospital partners, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly, coordinate pickups, and drive continuous improvement in productivity, safety, and compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily processing operations in collaboration with Warehouse Leads and Dispatch.
- Support transportation operations to ensure timely, safe, and compliant route execution.
- Ensure supplies, equipment, and routes are properly staged to meet daily and urgent customer needs.
- Perform routine quality control checks on sharps washing machines and containers to ensure sanitation standards.
- Coordinate fleet and equipment maintenance, including documentation of unrepairable equipment for inventory accuracy.
- Monitor, measure, and report operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Follow up on missed stops, coordinate rescheduled pickups, and support new customer setups.
- Manage state permits, renewals, and ensure compliance with DOT, EPA, DEQ, TJC, OSHA, and related agencies.
- Assist with hiring, scheduling, training, and coaching employees while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Review payroll hours and labor utilization to ensure efficiency and appropriate overtime usage.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant experience preferred.
- Two (2) or more years of customer service experience required; route or transportation experience preferred.
- Prior experience supervising or coordinating the work of others.
- Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
- Experience in transportation, warehouse, or operations environments.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Detail-oriented with a desire to streamline, document, and improve processes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
- Ability to plan, schedule, and remain organized while meeting operational goals.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record; CDL preferred per company standards.
- Ability to learn company software programs used for routing, billing, and fleet management.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle record review.
