About the Role
As a Sr. Software Engineer at XiFin you will be part of End-to-end software system engineering with a specialized focus on innovation. Works with Product Management and Engineering Leads to specify and design robust, scalable, and supportable solutions that automate and streamline production workflows. Diagnosis and mitigation of application function and performance issues. Manages and controls highly secure application data loading and data quality.
This position will be located onsite at our office in San Diego, California.
How you will make an impact:
In this role, you’ll:
- Lead engineering efforts to deliver best-of-class, innovative software for our customers, their clients, and patients
- Lead collaboration activities with team members to define requirements, objectives, and system design
- Collaborate with your team to build, review, and test applications and SQL code in a team-based development environment
- Work cross-functionally with other members of the engineering department on large strategic initiative projects
- Identify and propose opportunities to improve processes, product quality, and supportability
- Ensure that quality is a priority and is built into all stages of the development lifecycle
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and monitor large systems of complex software applications
- Assist other team members to support individual growth and improvement
- Adhere to and improve coding standards and best practices
- Perform research and development for innovation projects
- Other duties as assigned by management

Skills and experience you have:
You don’t need to check every box. We will consider a combination of education and experience, including:
- B.S. in Computer Science or other Engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Experience leading large projects in an agile, team-based development environment
- Extensive experience with Java, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and UI web components
- Extensive experience with Oracle SQL and application/database integration
- Expert-level knowledge of full-stack debugging, diagnosis, development, and testing techniques
- Expertise building and consuming web services (SOAP and REST) and SOA
- Experience consuming AWS APIs and web services to build Agentic AI workflows preferred
- Experience using AI application development tools to accelerate delivery preferred
- Strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex system issues involving large multi-tiered applications
- Experience delivering software adhering to industry privacy standards (PHI, PII, PCI) preferred
- Financial, laboratory, pharmacy, or other medical industry background preferred

Pay Transparency
At XiFin, we believe in pay transparency and fairness. The expected annual salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000, based on your experience, skills, and geographic location.
Final compensation will be determined during the selection process and may vary accordingly.
