An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead the development and launch of a new outpatient pharmacy within a growing health system. This contract position requires a skilled leader to oversee pharmacy operations, implement systems, and support key program initiatives from startup to full operation.
Location: Peru, IN (local candidates preferred)
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
- No weekend or on-call coverage
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the establishment and operational setup of a new outpatient pharmacy
- Implement PioneerRx order entry systems and collaborate on Meditech training as needed
- Plan outpatient pharmacy space utilization and workflow optimization
- Coordinate payer and Pharmacy Services Administrative Organization (PSAO) contracting
- Launch a medications-to-beds program by June 1, 2025
- Support tech staff and pharmacy technician workforce beginning early 2026
- Supervise a team consisting of approximately 12 full-time pharmacist and 12 technician staff members
Qualifications / Desired Experience
- Licensed pharmacist in Indiana
- Proven experience standing up new outpatient pharmacy services
- Familiarity with PioneerRx preferred; experience with Meditech is a plus
- Strong leadership and operational planning skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
Dress Code
- Eggplant scrubs or business casual with a white coat in patient-facing areas
