POSITION SUMMARY:
Handles and inspects components and filled product in accordance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices, Operating Procedures and Safety Regulations Documents and communicates functions and duties necessary to complete finishing activities for products processed in the Inspection and Packaging Department.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational
- Performs all tasks as outlined in Batch Cards, SOPs and Job Aids
- Effectively demonstrates the ability to perform on automated lines
- Inspects finished product as required. Requires attention to detail
- Configures and counts product into trays and cases. Requires lifting weights of up to 35 lbs.
- Operates equipment as defined within the labor grade
- Maintains a smooth flow of production and monitors equipment as assigned
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing equipment, such as interaction with HMI panels and safe interaction with automated machinery
Issues
- Communicates to PMO or Supervisor in a timely manner any equipment or process deviations
Documentation
- Documents in a timely manner all tasks requiring written or electronic records as specified in GMP regulations
Compliance
- Performs all functions in accordance with cGMPs, Corporate regulations, SOPs, and all other relevant regulations and standards
- Effectively demonstrates and understands the SOPs and job aids pertinent to each task performed
Other
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervision
- Critical thinking is imperative while executing manufacturing standard operating procedures. Critical thinking includes observation, analysis, interference, communication and problem-solving
- Working individually and as part of a team. Therefore, the ability to work collaboratively and positively within a team is important for this role
- Being methodical to effectively and accurately work when completing steps of a task or following instructions given to you by your supervisor or SOP
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
- High school Diploma or GED from recognized institution or organization
- Successful completion of certified in house qualification programs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Required to reach with hands and arms and frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals
- The noise level is moderate
- Work environment is a production/manufacturing environment
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Under contract agreement between Par Pharmaceutical and USW Local 176
- Shift premium where eligible
