This opportunity seeks an experienced MRI Technologist to operate a mobile MRI unit rotating between two hospital sites in the Harrisonburg, VA area. You will perform high-quality MRI scans on patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatric individuals, ensuring safe and effective imaging procedures that support accurate diagnoses.
Work Schedule
- Wednesdays and Thursdays at one hospital location
- Fridays and Saturdays at a second hospital location
- Hours alternate weekly between 7:30 AM6:00 PM and 7:30 AM8:00 PM shifts
- Every other Saturday required
- No on-call responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct MRI examinations according to protocol and patient needs
- Adapt shifts and workflow to meet departmental demands efficiently
- Deliver excellent patient care and professionalism, even in stressful situations
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, peers, and patients
- Adhere to all safety and quality standards during imaging procedures
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years clinical MRI experience in a hospital environment
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required or registry eligible; certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
- Ability to maintain professional communication with patients and staff
- Customer service skills essential
