Occupational Therapist Position Bridgton, ME (Contract)
An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide in-person services to a 13-year-old middle school student residing in Bridgton, ME. This unique contract position involves delivering compensatory services as the student has recently relocated from another state. Services will be provided within the students current district classroom or clinic setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer 2 hours of individualized OT services focused on improving functional, sensory, and motor skills.
- Coordinate with the students educational team to ensure continuity of compensatory services.
- Provide therapy sessions primarily outside regular school hours (mornings or afternoons).
- Document progress and collaborate with related service providers including speech-language pathologists and special education staff.
- Adapt therapy plans to meet the students evolving needs and schedule requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license and relevant school or healthcare OT experience.
- Experience working in educational, healthcare, or home health settings preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours and communicate effectively with educators and families.
- Comfort delivering services in classroom or clinic environments.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, client-centered occupational therapy.
Location: Bridgton, ME
Contract Type: Compensatory service contract for school year (CSY)
Schedule: Approximately 2 hours per week; outside regular school hours
