The Role

We areseekinga detail-orientedand forward-thinkingClinical Surveillance Consultant to strengthentheMicromedex commitment to deliveringaccurate, evidence-based drug information. This role is pivotal in monitoring regulatory updates and ensuringtimelycommunicationtoeditorial teams, enabling the most current content for healthcare professionals.

As a Clinical Surveillance Consultant,you’llleveragetechnology and innovation to track changes across FDA labeling, clinical guidelines, and primary literature. You will collaborate closely with clinical editors,medical librarians,data scientists, and developers tomaintaintrusted, high-quality resources that support safe, informed care decisions.

How you will contribute:

KeyResponsibilities

Monitor new drug approvals, drug discontinuations, and package insert updatesfortimelyinclusionin the Micromedex suite of products

Disseminate necessary information fromthe U.S. Food and Drug Administrationand other regulatory authoritiesto applicable editorial teamsand manage creation ofcitations within proprietary XML-based content management system (CMS), acting with a sense of urgency for high-priority updates

Collaborate withclinicaleditors, librarians, andtechnical experts to evaluate and implement technology to streamlinesurveillance of regulatoryinformation, clinical guidelines, and primary literature

Facilitate collaboration across Editorial content teams,leveragingonline collaboration tools

Coordinate off-label reviewer activities to ensuretimelycompilation,distribution,and review of materials andupdatingofapplicable compendium materials, followingstrictdocumentationand transparencystandards

Author andfacilitatepublication of Newsfeed content via proprietaryCMS

Participatein staff development activities in support ofmaintainingnecessary job skills

Contribute to workplace innovation and bring forward ideas for improvement

Implement editorial policiesand surveillance procedures, with an eye toward leveraging technology in a responsible way

Maintain awareness of current controversies, issues, and developments inU.S.drugdevelopment and approval pathways– future opportunities may include working with global drug authority data

About you

Basic Qualifications

Solidwriting ability and knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure

Strong computer skills; familiarity with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Copilot)

Basic knowledge of Internet search engines and strategies

Working knowledge of generative artificial intelligence (AI) toolsand Atlassian collaboration suite (Jira and Confluence)preferred

Preferred Skills

Ability to apply clinical knowledge and experience in critical thinking and problem-solving

Ability to solve problems, independently organize work,and perform multiple tasks

Demonstrated ability to communicate with management and other team members, including clinical and non-clinical colleagues

Coursework, training, or familiarity with statistical analysisand literature evaluation

Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a remoteworking environment

Education and Certification Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in health-related field

5+years applicable experience ininformaticsworking in a health system or clinical practice setting

Work Environment

Office/workenvironmentspecifics:remote environment collaborating with other healthcare professionals

Travel requirements (if applicable): minimal,for in-person team meetings (approximately annually)

Compensation

The salary range provided in this job posting is intended to reflect the general market value for the position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific requirements of the role. This range may also be subject to change as market conditions evolve. We encourage open communication throughout the interview process to discuss compensation expectations. For base-salary + commission sales roles, the range represents On-Target Earnings.

$77,336.00 - $116,004.00 (USD)
