A comprehensive school psychologist position is available at an elementary school located in Anchorage, AK. This full-time contract role offers the opportunity to provide critical psychological services in an onsite setting within a dynamic school environment. The position requires a strong ability to manage a caseload of approximately 1:600 students, dedicating 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for elementary-aged students
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student learning and mental health
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and intervention plans
- Provide counseling and behavioral support to students as needed
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and district policies
Qualifications
- Must hold valid Alaska certification and licensure for school psychologists
- Proven experience working within elementary schools preferred
- Strong assessment and intervention skills, with knowledge of current school psychology practices
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Location: Anchorage, Alaska Onsite position only
Contract Duration: Current School Year (CSY) through May 21, 2026
