Two Special Education Teacher positions are available for the 2025-2026 school year at an elementary school serving students in kindergarten through fifth grade. These contract roles focus on providing specialized instruction and support in Learning Support and Autistic Support programs for young learners, beginning in January 2026 through the end of the school year in June 2026. The classroom caseload will include students requiring tailored educational strategies to meet their individual learning and developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Deliver tailored instruction in a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, counselors, and parents
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain detailed records of student performance and communicate regularly with families
Qualifications
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (K-5)
- Experience with Learning Support and Autistic Support programs preferred
- Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices
- Ability to create engaging, accessible lesson plans for diverse learners
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
