A school district in Reading, PA is seeking two Special Education Teachers for elementary students in grades K-5. These contract positions focus on providing learning support and autistic support services within an elementary school setting from January 2026 through the end of the 2025-2026 school year.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with special needs in learning support and autistic support.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes academic and social growth.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress and appropriate accommodations.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate regularly with parents and school administrators.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Qualifications
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with students in K-5, specifically in learning support and autistic support.
- Strong knowledge of special education law and best practices.
- Ability to create engaging lessons and adapt instructional methods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
