A licensed specialist in school psychology is needed to serve a K-12 school in Katy, TX. This contract position runs through June 5, 2026, providing vital psychological services to two campusestypically one elementary and one intermediate or middle school with a manageable caseload. Bilingual candidates are highly preferred to better serve the diverse student population.
Responsibilities include conducting approximately two evaluations per week, participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, staffings, and Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs). While mental health specialists provide counseling as related services, the psychologists role focuses on assessment and collaboration to support student success.
Qualifications/Experience
- Licensed as a Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
- Masters degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings
- Ability to manage evaluation caseload efficiently and participate in special education meetings
- Bilingual skills are a strong plus
